Hi, I have one of the new acacia salt shaker/pepper grinders. They probably have a better grinding mech. than my 1960 version, the wood laminates are larger than with the original teak version, and some lighter sapwood is evident. Made in China. Overall nicely done, but lacking the "teak" look of the originals.

Apparently the first re-issues are available for ordering through the Dansk website. Watch them fly off the shelf.

Actually Mark I just read your old post about Jens Quistgaard's children trying to put some of his designs back into production- I wonder if they had something to do with it. And what are your thoughts?!

I was praying they wouldn't reissue the ones I have! (They didn't). They look reat of course, and I want them all, but I'm not really clear on what Dansk is anymore. Wouldn't they need to reissue every great Quistgaard and Cyren design to be impactful again? And then reissue the old Lou Dorfsman ads? That would be the best strategy. Dump everything but their greatest hits!
By the way I just ordered your book!
