{"id":149,"date":"2008-12-10T23:53:29","date_gmt":"2008-12-11T05:53:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.teakpepper.com\/?p=149"},"modified":"2008-12-10T23:53:29","modified_gmt":"2008-12-11T05:53:29","slug":"crazy-mill-art","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.teakpepper.com\/teakpepper\/2008\/12\/10\/crazy-mill-art\/","title":{"rendered":"Crazy Mill Art"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There&#8217;s an <a href=\"http:\/\/cgi.ebay.com\/ORIGINAL-ART-16-inch-DANSK-Pepper-Mill-Grinder_W0QQitemZ140288022129QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item140288022129&amp;_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&amp;_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A0%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50\" target=\"_blank\">auction<\/a> right now for a JHQ mill that someone in Colorado decided to decorate.\u00a0 That&#8217;s right, she took a wood burning tool to the mill and drew flowers, curly lines, and dots all over it.\u00a0 Looks like she did a nice job, but why would she do this?\u00a0 Does this increase the value?\u00a0 It&#8217;s one thing to find this at a garage sale like this and try to put a spin on it and sell it, its another thing to take a perfectly good mill and say to yourself &#8220;Hey, if I decorate this, it will become something I can sell on eBay for more than I have been able to without the decorations.\u00a0 I&#8217;ll even make more money if I post photos of me decorating it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>If Picasso, or a musician, or somebody known did it I could understand.\u00a0 But somebody whose other auctions are mainly outdated consumer electronics, I really don&#8217;t get it.<\/p>\n<p>So, photos and all, enjoy the auction.
