{"id":16,"date":"2008-06-21T19:46:58","date_gmt":"2008-06-22T01:46:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.teakpepper.com\/?p=16"},"modified":"2008-06-21T19:46:58","modified_gmt":"2008-06-22T01:46:58","slug":"danish-design-score","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.teakpepper.com\/teakpepper\/2008\/06\/21\/danish-design-score\/","title":{"rendered":"Danish Design Score"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I scored a pair of rosewood stools today at a garage sale.\u00a0 They are attributed to Erik Buck for OD Mobler also known as Oddense Maskinsnedkeri.\u00a0 They are seen in teak and rosewood, these are richly grained rosewood.\u00a0 A little wear along the legs and footrest, but nothing a little linseed oil can&#8217;t make look good as new. The leather is in perfect condition.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.teakpepper.com\/teakpepper\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/06\/0350.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-17\" title=\"0350\" src=\"http:\/\/www.teakpepper.com\/teakpepper\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/06\/0350.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"392\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.teakpepper.com\/teakpepper\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/06\/0350.jpg 392w, https:\/\/www.teakpepper.com\/teakpepper\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/06\/0350-235x300.jpg 235w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 392px) 100vw, 392px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The photo is from a Rago Arts auction from 2006 where these 4 sold for $2040.\u00a0 There was a recent Euro eBay auction that brought a similar price for a teak pair.<\/p>\n<p>They also had a Lovig desk in rosewood for less than 10% of what it normally sells for.\u00a0 The desk is often attributed to Quistgaard because the label says &#8220;Lovig &#8211; Dansk Designs&#8221; and people don&#8217;t understand Dansk Designs also means &#8220;Danish Designs&#8221; as well as the name of the company JHQ is so famous for. I almost got it, but it was so big and heavy I didn&#8217;t know where to put it. This wasn&#8217;t in as good shape, but could have been easily restored.
