eBay has been slow lately.\u00a0 I don’t know if it is spring fever, the down economy, or what – but there haven’t been a ton of interesting auctions lately.\u00a0 It’s been a while since I’ve posted and that’s because until a recent spate of interesting auctions, I haven’t seen too much going on!<\/p>\n
Well, if collectors out there aren’t selling due to the economic downturn, the news is that Dansk and Quistgaard prices haven’t gone down much.\u00a0 I chose just a few recent auctions to illustrate this point.\u00a0 All of the auctions below are from the last few weeks, and all are quite high prices for very quality, rare pieces.<\/p>\n
Looking back at these auctions, I’d like to state again for the record that eBay’s policy of “not naming names” has really taken a lot of the fun from collecting on eBay.\u00a0 You can’t see who is bidding, and you can’t see who has won.\u00a0 I used to have a pretty good idea of who (by eBay ID) was collecting what and there was both a sense of camaraderie and competition.\u00a0 That is gone now.\u00a0 It’s just me against a bunch of random scrambled letters.\u00a0 Much less fun.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
