The spammers are attacking Teak Pepper in force. I’m getting a fake blog posting every few minutes and it’s driving me crazy. Until I can do something about it, all comments will need to be approved by me before they will go live. So, please don’t hesitate to add a comment – I’ll approve it as soon as I can.
I am in the lookout for a better solution that will remove the need for me to administer the comments while not forcing the commenter to sign in and register or something like that. Thanks for your patience.


Have you tried Akismet? At least for WordPress hosted WordPress blogs, it works very well.
Yeah, I’ve got that. I’m getting a comment every 10 min or so. 98% of them are held as spam so readers don’t see them, but they are clogging up my life. ARRRGH.
Ah, I see. I thought the problem was them getting through — but I’ve been through that too, with a WordPress email for each comment to moderate. You just want the spam ones to go in an oubliette somewhere, eh? There ought to be an extension for that…
