I am pleased to be spreading the word for the first documentary about Jens Quistgaard. It is called Jens Quistgaard: A Saucepan for my Wife and it is set to be released early in 2010. Created by Danish filmmaker Stig Guldberg, it is a facinating peek into the facinating life of JHQ. It is a must see for fans of Jens Quistgaard, Dansk Designs, Danish Modern, and Industrial Design in general. The film is about 30 minutes long, and the DVD contains another 30 min of interview footage as well as a 55 page booklet
A very nice website for the film was just launched, so you can learn more and watch a trailer at jensquistgaard.com. The site has a great photo gallery of JHQ designs and some good bio information as well.
