Although I am more often found on my sofa these days than hiking in the back country, I have always had a love for the outdoors, and an even greater love for outdoor equipment design. This started back in the day when I was a Boy Scout and got my first backpack. I did a lot of research, and decided that JanSport was the best of the best – and back then it truly was. I read the JanSport catalog about 100 times and still love those old external frame packs.
That’s why I was so excited when I discovered the JanSport Heritage series of packs. They are reissues of the very earliest packs the company made – way before my time but very cool.
