I’ve noticed over the last year that there has been a lot of Dansk pieices appearing in the Design Within Reach catalogs. I’m always happy to get this eye candy in my mailbox, and overjoyed when Quistgaard’s work shows up as a prop. I know from a friend who used to work at DWR that people call up all the time asking to buy the props – I wonder how many are calling about the pepper mills. Below is a gallery of very poor scans of Quistgaard’s work in the DWR catalogs, in case you don’t get the catalogs yourself. All of them are from 2008.
I’d also like to give props to DWR for carrying a teak stool designed by Jens Quistgaard. It’s the first JHQ I’ve seen at DWR and it’s about time. I think this piece is built by the Danish company Trip Trap, and it has been in production for years.
