Ted Nierenberg died last Friday at the age of 86, according to the New York Times, who published a very nice obituary in today’s paper. Nierenberg should be credited with the inspiration and ingenuity to bring Jens Quistgaard’s designs to life as mass produced goods. His legacy as a visionary, salesman, and businessman – especially his work with Dansk in the late 50s and 60s – will live on. He was an accomplished photographer in his later years. He will be missed.
