I was going through old files and found a nice scan of the 1st article I penned for Ready Made magazine. It’s the “Wall of Sound” CD rack. With it you can hold about 1,300 CDs in a very small space. The article was from 2003, but I built this in 1999, when it was hard to fit that much music on a hard drive. The coolest thing about this rack is that the CDs sat about 4″ off the wall so it looked like they were floating. It was quite impressive in the room!
Don’t you love the look of the old-school Ready Made magazine?
You can see the beginnings of my Quistgaard collection in the photo – a few Kobenstyle pitchers and some Dansk glass. As a side note, I am selling this piece on Craig’s List soon – let me know if you are interested.
