I got a postcard from the Eames Office inviting me to a party celebrating the commemorative stamps the US Post Office is going to release next week. Since I don’t live in LA, I won’t be able to attend. But, I will be able to go to the post office and buy some, as they are really cool–showing some of the best Eames designs and artwork. Too bad I don’t write any letters that need stamps.
It’s great to see the most accomplished American 20th Century designers getting this kind of recognition. I haven’t been this excited about stamps since the Buckminster Fuller release a few years ago.
